Seahurst Principal & Assistant Principal

Seahurst Principal & Assistant Principal
Elizabeth Maine

We have completed a strategic search process to select the new principal for Seahurst Elementary School. Elizabeth Maine has been selected as the new principal at Seahurst Elementary School, effective July 1.

Since 2018, Elizabeth has served as the assistant principal at Midway Elementary. Prior to Midway, she served as the dean of students and literacy specialist at White Center Heights Elementary. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Washington, a master’s in literacy education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a second master’s of education in educational leadership from UW Bothell.

As previously shared, Highline Virtual Elementary will move to Seahurst beginning next school year. The increased number of students at Seahurst next year allows us to add an assistant principal position at the school.

Through a strategic search process, we have also selected Jessica Ma to serve as the assistant principal at Seahurst.

Jessica Ma

Jessica currently serves as the principal at Highline Virtual Elementary. Since 2004, she has worked in various roles including teacher, interventionist and assistant principal. Jessica holds a bachelor of arts in psychology and sociology from the University of Washington, a master’s of education degree from Eastern Washington University and an educational administration certification from the University of Washington, Tacoma.
