Seahurst Elementary Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of the Seahurst School Counseling program is to provide equitable access to an engaging, comprehensive, developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed program. Our program supports the academic, career, and social emotional development of all Seahurst students so that they experience a sense of agency in middle and high school, and graduate excited and prepared for the future they choose.

We accomplish this through cultivating strong partnerships with families and community, honoring our students’ identities and voices, and fostering an inclusive school community.

We provide direct student services which include:

  • Teaching core curriculum
  • Providing targeted interventions
  • Individual student planning
  • Responsive services

We also provide indirect student services which include:

  • Referral to additional supports, leadership, and enrichment opportunities
  • Individual consultation
  • Collaboration with students, families and colleagues
